Cittą Studi's library was launched in 1994 as a specialized technical library within the textile sector. While maintaining the same specifics, the number of volumes continued to increase throughout the years and became the reference library for the biellese university courses. Cittą Studi's library is actively inserted in the circuit of The National Library System - Sistema Bibliotecario Nazionale (SBN) since April 2002 through the Library Pole of Biella.

At the present time, the library possesses a patrimony of approximately 20.000 volumes including monographs, degree thesis, dictionaries and encyclopedias.
Two very important donations stand out amongst these volumes: Roberto Ruozi, ex Rector of the Bocconi University and Giuseppe Pella, a prominent figure of Biella. The first is made up of 4.500 volumes which primarily focuses on subjects regarding economics, financial business and banking, marketing and law; the second is more diverse and is made up of approximately 2.200 monographs regarding social sciences, art, philosophy, history, geography, religion and sciences.
Also available are several national newspapers, local newspapers and 35 different types of magazines: technology and the textile industry, economics, marketing, sociology and social sciences.

The library, open to the public, offers 32 computers including on-line access to over 400 newspapers and magazines published in more than 70 countries and in 37 different languages.
